Apple customers are far from happy after the latest iOS 5 update failed to answer issues previously raised by Apple users across the globe.
According to the official statement, the new update is intended to bring about improvements such as lengthening the beleaguered battery life and fixing sync problems with documents using icloud.
In addition, the new update adds multitasking gestures for the original iPad as well as an improvement relating to Siri’s voice recognition performance with Australian users.
However, the problem that has been the most irksome is the poor battery life. With Apple already in customers’ bad books due to its tardy response and acknowledgement of the issue, it had hoped the speedy update fix would placate the majority.
And yet now the update is here, and the first accounts from users are that it appears to be solving the problems, the forums are awash with customers who are still not satisfied: “We know now this is definitely a hardware issue. This phone is just not practical for everyday use,” commented one user.
Apple has, at the very least listened to its customers, it is now a case of waiting to see if the upgrade has the desired effect for the majority of Apple iphone users.
